Captivating Cuba tours
Renowned for its vibrant Latin culture, soulful music, fine rums and cigars and its dramatic revolutionary history, Cuba is a remarkable country. An island lost in time, it's a decadent blend of romantic grandeur and off-beat Caribbean charm. Our holidays in Cuba will take you on a colourful journey that combines colonial cities, dramatic landscapers and glittering Caribbean coastlines.
There is so much more to explore beyond the powdery beaches on our Cuba holidays. We’ll follow in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway and Che Guevara and explore the enchanting capital, Havana, taking in landmarks such as the Capitolio – the seat of the government before the Cuban Revolution – the main square, Plaza de Armas and the 18th century Cathedral, or simply enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Malecon, the famous seafront promenade and watch the vintage cars roar past.
Further afield, we’ll also be spellbound by the incredible Viñales Valley, the ‘Pearl of the South,’ Cienfuegos, and the colonial cities of Trinidad and Sancti Spiritus. Our Cuba tours give you a real flavour of this enchanting destination that is still finding its feet after more than half a century of economic embargo. And now, more than ever, is a great time to visit Cuba.

What our experts love about Cuba
Cuban culture is deeply rooted in music and the arts and you'll see this everywhere you visit on our tours. I especially love to wander the streets of Havana, admiring the dilapidated yet beautiful buildings and finding live music and locals dancing on what seems like every street corner.
Where are the best places to visit in Cuba?
Wherever you travel in Cuba you’ll find yourself fascinated by the history, charmed by the beauty and uplifted by the energy, colour and spirit of the place. And while our escorted tours highlight all the main sights, taking you from the big cars and colonial splendour of Havana to the green hills and valleys of the hinterland, we’ll also lift the lid on some local character, like learning to mix real Cuban cocktails or visiting a tobacco plantation. Here are a couple of our own Cuba highlights.

More information about Cuba
Cuba has a multi-cultural population with several different languages spoken. The official language of Cuba is Spanish, specifically Cuban Spanish, a form of Caribbean Spanish. Haitian Creole is also widely spoken and many people - especially those working in tourism also speak English.
Flight time from London to Havana is approximately 9 hours 45 minutes.
Our escorted tours all depart in spring and autumn, avoiding the rainy season. March to mid-April in Cuba is usually warm, dry and sunny, with even warmer temperatures in October and November. Although we’ve based our advice on the typical climate for Cuba, it’s always a good idea to check a reliable weather forecast website before your holiday.
Cuba has a sub-tropical, humid climate and is warm throughout the year. The wet season runs from May to September, when there can be heavy rainfall, especially in June, July and September. The dry season in Cuba extends from November to April when the days are long and sunny, making these months ideal months for our escorted tours.
Cuban food relies heavily on pork, chicken, rice and beans. Expect a delicious mix of Spanish and Afro-Caribbean flavours, with plenty of marinated meats using fresh citrus fruits like orange, lemon and lime. Ajiaco is the national dish, a stew of meat and vegetables, and of course mojitos are Cuba’s iconic national cocktail, a drink made of light rum, lime juice, fresh mint, sugar and soda.
We do not recommend you drink tap water in Cuba, unless you know the water has been treated. Tap water in large, international hotels is generally safe to drink but outside of these we recommend you drink bottled water and are cautious of ice in soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Bottled water is available throughout Cuba.
Porterage at hotels is included in the cost of your Cuba touring holiday. However, it is customary to tip 10% in restaurants, and we also suggest tipping a nominal amount to any expert local guides along the way. Your tour manager will be happy to help if you need any further guidance.
